People can be referred for
living in Community LAMDA by their helping medical
professional, family members, friends, or by themselves
through their case manager. All applications must be
supported by an applicant’s case manager.
A
referral form needs to be filled out and submitted
to LAMDA by the case manager.
Potential tenants meet with LAMDA staff for an
intake interview, where their case managers provide
support and information. LAMDA staff members gather
personal information about the applicant during or
after this meeting.
Potential Killarney residents also meet with the
proposed roommate and are interviewed with the
roommate present, to ensure the mutual agreement to
share the apartment.
Once the Community LAMDA staff members interview
and screen prospective tenants, Calgary Housing
Company reviews the application to ensure
eligibility requirements for the community housing
program are met.
